• Helps to draw out flat and inverted nipples
• Can be applied prior to the feeding - by enlarging and elongating the nipple, it temporairly allows baby to grasp and establish a good latch 
• Consistent and comfortable suction. Needs to be re-applied every 60 minutes. 
• If parent is weaning off the nipple shield, corrector can be applied on the opposite side while baby is nursing to facilitate easier transition
