Important Information About Duckbill Valves:
A small opening or slight separation at the tip of a duckbill valve when first unpackaged is normal and does not indicate a defect. We've tested this extensively and confirmed that these small gaps do not reduce suction or pumping effectiveness.
To keep your pump working efficiently, we recommend replacing duckbills every 1–2 months, or sooner with frequent use.
Simple Performance Check:
With your pump assembled and turned on, watch the duckbill tip—it should gently seal shut under suction. If the valve appears loose or remains open during use, it's likely time for a replacement.
